Chat
Initially, the chat functionality within Collabs was limited to 1:1 messaging between recommended artists. To further support artists, I helped expand chat capabilities, transforming it into a more robust tool for collaboration and communication. This included exploring ways to streamline artist interactions, fostering connections, and ensuring messaging complemented the broader Collabs ecosystem.

UX problems
Limited to 1:1 chats
Users were restricted to 1:1 messaging, preventing them from adding critical team members, such as bandmates or managers in discussions.
No editing capabilities
Users couldn’t rename chats, update imagery, or adjust participant lists, limiting their ability to manage ongoing conversations effectively.
No chat management tools
The MVP chat experience lacked essential management features. Users could not review files, links, or images shared in their conversations, nor could they leave a chat once it was created.
Solution
I expanded the chat functionality to include group messaging, allowing users to add participants, customize chat names, and update imagery. I also designed a management page where artists could review shared files and links shared.
